Computational simulation of forward extrusion

. Presented paper deals with creation of a reliable computational modelfor the simulation of forward extrusion. In the first part, experimental verification of computational results is presented on the example of copper specimens, extruded through different shapes of extrusion dies. The procedure is based on the comparation of measured hardness and computed strain distribution. Based on these results, combined extrusioncompression procedure of bolts production is simulated. Detailed analysis of stress, strain and workability exhaustion during subsequent production stages is presented.
