The part of a more extensive work dealing with the elastic wave propagation due to a further progress of the acoustic emission method is presented. Here, the main attention is concerned to the axisymmetric bodies with offsets whose effects are qualified. The results of numerical simulations and experimental results are presented, verified and compared mutually. The numerical modeling has been realized by the finite element method using the software MARC/MENTAT. The transient broadband piezocerarnics transducers have been employed for the experimental measuring on a set of real models. In the second part of the paper, it is shown in which way the presence of the transducer can affect the measured displacement. As shown, this effect cannot be omitted, especially in the case of an absolute measuring.
