Utilization of multibody simulations in creation of the construction design of the low-lewel deck articulated ŠKODA 22 Ab bus
Polach P.
pages 217 - +8p, full text

The paper deals with the application of computer simulations in investigating riding qualities and the time histones of dynamic forces acting on structural parts of the low-level deck articulated SKODA 22 Ab bus. The time histones of loading are assessed in simulations with the multibody bus model which was created in the alaska programme. Following simulations with the multibody model of the construction design of the SKODA 22 Ab bus are possible to be carried out: I. Simulations of driving operations (braking. "slalom". overtaking. driving into a curve and acceleration in a curve) - results inform about riding qualities of the bus. 2. Simulation of a drive over an artificial obstacle - outputs of time histones of forces at suspension elements are input data for the calculation of the bodywork stresses by means of FEM. time histories of relative deflections of air spnngs and relative velocities at shock absorbers inform about the suitability of the used suspension elements, 3. Simulation of a slow front impact against a concrete wall - outputs serve as input data for the evaluation of deformation of a vehicle supporting framework by the FEM programmes, 4. Simulation of a drive along a rough road surface - results are possible to be used in the field offatigue life assessment of dynamically loaded structures.
