This paper is concemed with the investigation of constitutive equations of carbon steel in the semi-solid state. The semi-solid state forging is one of the near netshape forging processes in which the final part is made at the temperature between the liquids and solids by loading the materials. The constitutive equation we have chosen from the library in the program code LS-DYNA. This program and ANSYS are used for numerical simulations and optimization. The work includes description and results of numerical simulations and of experimental tests.
