Simulation of flow around control valve cone

Short study of wake-jlow parameters and fluid-induced vibration of the model of valve cone is presented in this paper. Tested valve model was located in air tunnel. The CTA-anemometry with wire and film probes was used to measure flow parameters in wake of vibrating cone. The vibration of cone was measured mainly by accelerometer. The results show very complicated relation between flow around cone and vibration of cone. The measurements did not give simple answer to cause of vibration of valve cone. The results of flow measurements ware compared with the results of computations by CFDcode.
