In the paper the problem defined in the heading on passage through resonances will be analyzed. The discretisation of the mathematical model of the system was performed by the Large Finite Element Method. The nonlinear matrix equation thus generated was approximately solved by means of small parameter method. The dependence of the transient phenomena on various system parameters was investigated.
