Rolling of parallel-flange beams in universal roll stands through reversing method. Described are the historical development of technology of rolling these profiles; types of parallel-flange beams; and universal roll stands' arrangement in roughing and finishing mill trains. Described is the new designed x-x system with description of performance tests carried out to prove the technology designed. Described is a precision universal roll stand giving the basic technical parameters. Listed in conclusion are expected advantages of the new proposed technology of beam rolling in universal roll stands through reversing method.
