The paper describes the mathematical model of the thermodynamic process connected with the replacement of two different gaseous contents in a storage pressure vessel. The content replacement is realised by successive periodical filling and discharging of the reservoir. Observed problem is associated with a defined requirement for a gaseous impurity content. There are derived the differential equations of the thermodynamic system state quantities quasi-stationary solution involving heat transfer influence. Further is determined the gas mixture composition in the vessel and the gaseous filling charge consumption during successive "scavenging" of the reservoir. The system of four the first-order differential equations is solved by the Runge-Kutta 4th order method. Presented solution is concretised for the gaseous content replacement of 100 m3 volume pressure vessel predestined for hydrogen storage which is in process of manufacturing filled by nitrogen.
