Computing evaluation of the vehicle load influence on its steady state and transient directional behaviour
Socha J.
pages 312 - +9p., full text

The contribution deals with the mathematical modelling in the field of vehicle directional behaviour. The complex model of the bus has been created to analyse its directional properties using computer simulations. Driving of the bus model along a given track is ensured by model of driver behaviour. Mathematical model has been validated using the comparison with measurements of real bus steady state and transient directional behaviour. After model validation the attention has been devoted to the bus model behaviour at various load cases. Vehicle properties have been evaluated within the steady state circle run and during the response on step input to steering wheel as well with respect to relevant ISO standards. The performed simulations describe bus directional properties and show their sensitivity to vehicle load distribution.
