Control aspects of linear motors with an axially compliant suspension of their secondary part

In this paper, the properties of the current control loop of linear synchronous motors are described. There are shown root loci, time delay of a PWM and influence of the current control on achievable jerk value. In the second part, an axially compliant suspension for the secondary part of a linear motor is described and its properties and control aspects are discussed.
