This contribution describes the experimental indirect identification method for linear damped dynamic systems with multiple inputs and multiple outputs (so called MIMO systems). This method is based on the smoothing and identification of the real measured frequency response functions (FRF) in single measured points (i.e. SISO systems), their sorting into FRF matrix, its transform into the time domain and the complex identification of the system from the impulse response matrix. The used program was developed in MATLAB 5.3. This program is completed by the spatial animation of the identified mode shapes. The methodology was used for the evaluation of measurement on the experimental model of the reactor VVER 1000 cooling loop. The results were evaluated by method for SIMO systems. Next application was measurement at the real structure of the upper block of the reactor VVER 1000. This structure was identified as a MISO system. The results of both experiments were compared with the results of independent measurement evaluations and they present very good accord both in the frequency values and in the identified mode shapes.
