Vehicle dependability: related cost analysis and requirements optimization
Weiter A.
pages 394 - +9p., full text

Life cycle cost analysis is the process of economic analysis to assess the total cost of acquisition, proprietary and disposal of vehicles. This analysis provides important inputs to the decision making process of the product design, development, use and disposal. Vehicle suppliers can optimise their designs through evaluation of alternatives and through performing trade-off studies. They can evaluate various operating, maintenance and disposal strategies to optimise life cycle cost (LCC).
