The contribution represents the newest results in rail and wheel contact research. The master-slave contact algorithm was used. The simplified model of the system was strained by static vertical load of 100 kN. The main topic of this contribution is a comparison of modeled cases. There were analyzed two typical diameters of the railway wheel with the UIC-ORE profile being on two typical cants of the rail. The Finite Element Method was used.
