Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) is suitable method for analysis of sound and vibration in high-frequency range, but to build a reliable SEA model is necessary correctly determine individual SEA parameters. Especially for subsystems with complex geometry and material may be desirable to use experimental or numerical methods to identify their parameters. In this paper dual modal formulation and Final Element Method (FEM) modal information are used for evaluation of coupling loss factor (CLF). It allows CLF to be determined only from the knowledge of modes of the uncoupled systems. Methodology is illustrated on examples of two connected beams and plates and compared with analytical travelling wave solution. Furthermore are presented statistical and sensitivity analysis of this approach based on Monte Carlo method.
