There have been several studies of how humans hear their own voices. One’s own voice is perceived differently by the speaker Via air conduction and bone conduction and by listeners. The main aim of previous studies was to find out the transfer function between these two ways of listening. This transfer function is similar to characteristics of low-pass filter. Psychoacoustic methods, which were used mostly, gave relatively high differences between different subjects and they are not able to state detailed individual parameters. There is used simultaneous recording of subject voice and Vibrations of skull in our study. The first results are comparable to psychoacoustic studies and it could be possible to state individual filter characteristics by this method and by measurement of individual binaural hearing thresholds for air and bone conduction.
