This contribution deals with the overview of methods, which are used for analysis of dynamic behavior of rotor dynamics systems. The main of background research topics are the eigen value problem, steady-state response and computational simulations. The mathematical and computational models are presented. New method, which is based on the synthesis of dynamic analysis of free parts, such as shaft, nonlinear couplings and flexible stator is presented. Relatively new method, as the trigonometric collocation, in conjunction with finite element method or method of dynamic compliances is presented. Application of all this method will be shown on the solution of technical tasks.
