A new method and a computer program have been developed for simulation and computation of operational load of gears. The gear mesh stiflness and transmission errors are in this method assumed to be non-linear functions of gear tooth kinematics imperfection under transmitted load that take into account relative unloaded tooth errors, load deflections and tooth profile modification. The performed analysis proved that the mesh load influences the contact ratio and internal excitation and that is why these non-linear properties are taken into account. Consequently the computation must be performed by iteration procedure.
