In this contribution, the problem of numerical homogenization of plates perforated by a large number of small openings is discussed. When the characteristic size of the opening with respect to an analyzed structure is small, modelling approaches based on homogenization theories are applicable to analysis of these structures. In this contribution, the formulation based on the concept of control points, which are used to parameterize macroscopic fields, is employed. Formulations for both thin (Kirchhoff) as well as thick (Mindlin) plates are introduced. Finally, a comparison with experimental data is performed to show the accuracy of obtained results.
