In this paper is solved a 3D analysis of growing crack of the chevron notched three-point-bending specimen. On macroscale the specimen body is modeled as an elastic homogenous and transversally isotropic material whose elastic constants are obtained by a homogenization procedure. In ceramics reinforced by elastic fibers a crack bridging mainly cause the toughening. This mechanism increases in some extent behind the crack tip along the process zone wake and, as a consequence, the crack growth resistance rises as the crack propagates and leaves the wake. This problem is solved in program system ANSYS and MAPLE.
