In 2004, ŽĎAS, a. s. produced three manipulators to centre and transfer hot railway wheel forgings intended for the forging line with the new CKZW 65/56 forging press. They are the QMS 1.3 centring manipulator, QMP 1.3 transfer manipulator and QKP 1.3 transfer manipulator with travel. These machines were designed and manufactured based on customer′s inquiry that requested to replace some machines of the line insufficient in terms of their accuracy and technical condition with new ones. Along with the press, the manipulators create high-efficiency units ensuring smooth passage of the hot piece through the line between individual machines. The manipulators are designed to be able to modify them for other similar application. At a time when most prestigious manufacturers offer multi-purpose manipulators featuring relatively low carrying capacity, ŽĎAS, a. s. launches the manipulators focused on specific production base featuring relatively high carrying capacity as well as position-reaching accuracy.
