A set of approximations for the specific volume of saturated liquid and saturated vapor, saturation pressure and for the isothermal derivatives (∂π/∂ϕ´)τ , (∂π/∂ϕ“)τ including a concept of some theirs combinations is given. It is shown that the accuracy of approximations depends both on the approximated quantity and on its approximating analytical form. The accuracy moves between a percentage fraction up to 5 % of maximum value of the pertinent function. After a numerous tests the function τX1.(1−τ)X2 has been chosen as a general approximation function. The values of exponents and coefficients optimized by the least squares method, the courses of approximated quantities and their approximating functions as well as their deviations from correct data are given.
