The advances in computer technology and reliability theory allow for introduction of qualitatively new probabilistic reliability assessment methods, such as Simulation-Based Reliability Assessmen Method , SBRA, in designer’s work. Using a pilot example, the safety probabilistic assessment procedure is explained and the probability of failure of a steel structure exposed to fatigue damage due to wind load is calculated.
