pages 298 - +8p., full text

The paper describes the prediction of theoretical life-time of antennas made from glas-reinforced laminate and the comparison with long time measurements on the real structures. Three slender TV tower structures subjected to the turbulent wind were analysed. The wind load has been described by relatively simple formulas and number of cycles during certain period was determined. It agreed very well with measurement velocities in the vicinity of the structure. A modified fatique analysis has been proposed by authors and the time life prediction of antennas was stated for the industrial partner. ´
