The paper deals with a statistical method for the evaluation of life test results. It is supposed that only some of the test specimens are observed until breaking while observation of others is terminated prior to breaking. That is, some observations are censored. The estimation of probability density function parameters is based on the maximum-likelihood method. The Weibull distribution function is preferably used to describe the complete life distribution. It is suggested that estimation be performed sequentially after each observed breakage treating specimens still on test as censored until the parameter estimates become stable. Some results of simulation are presented using an example of truck suspension tests.
