The study is focused on the advantages of numerical simulations based on the meshless Lagrangian approach to continuum description. The formulation of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method and its implementation for problems of incompressible fluid dynamics is presented. The results of numerical simulations of problems involving free surfaces and fluid to fluid interaction are displayed.
