Pipe break probabilities calculated in nuclear industry for purposes of PSA studies are based either on the in sights from the operating experience or on the fracture mechanics. For the application of the last one the PRAISE computed code (Pipe Reliability Assessment Including Seismic Effects) was developed. The key stones of this code are as follows: stress history of the piping (cyclic stress, mean stress, No of cycles, operating transients, seismic events), initial crack distribution, crack non-detection probability, K-solution, crack grow characteristics, leak detection probability, leak rate calculations, probability of small leak, big leak and LOCA. Numerical example is demonstrated.
