Multiscale viscoelastic homogenization is employed for the assessment of concrete creep. Recent nanoindentation results testified creep origin in calcium silicate hydrates (C-S-H) on the scale of nanometers. First, the viscous properties of C-S-H are identified by means of numerical inverse analysis from the level of cement paste. Second, the upscaling to the scale of concrete is carried out via correspondence principle. Predicted creep of concrete corresponds reasonably well to experimental data.
