In this paper the methodology of the assessment of the response of the layered, at its edges hinge-supported plate from the effects of the sound blast waves pressure. Stiffness matrix for the layered rectangular element was derived. The load is transferred through spherical blast waves, defined in the shape of periodically variable load. Distribution of the continuous load into nodes of the rectangular plate was defined in the initial phase of the calculation considering the load phase shift. The calculation of the response was made using the modified method of matrix function derived by author and using the standard method of solution the response to the harmonic load.
