This article describes methods and results obtained from the analysis of deformation influence of a car combustion engine upon function of the valve-guideseat assemblage situated in the piston head at the beginning of the exhaust duct. A main tool used for this purpose was a mathematical instrument of the finite element method and algorithms implemented in the software package Abaqus/CAE 6.8-2. The analysis includes the deformation influence of assembling the parts together with the impact of service loads. Contact clearances between valve - guide and valve - seat contact pairs were considered as proper function criteria.
