Cardiovascular diseases are responsible for the largest number of human death relative to other causes. In this paper, the results of coupled analysis related to the carotid artery with atherosclerotic plaque, performed via commercial software - ANSYS are shown. The mathematical model consists of the Navier - Stokes equation supplemented by boundary and initial conditions. To describe the non-linear characteristic of the artery and calcified plaque, the Yeoh 3rd Order and Mooney - Rivlin 5th Order Models are used. The velocity, stress, and deformation distribution at the analyzed artery are shown.
